Hello! My name is Dr. Cashet Turing, but my clients call me Dr. Turing or just Cashet. I'm nonbinary, with they/them pronouns, and am 36 years old. I am proud to hold the title of the Ultimate Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Counselor.* Every day, I seek to pave a path for a world where mental self-care is valued and appreciated.
FUN FACT OF THE WEEK: Brain fog is caused when axons cannot properly fire to dendrites because of the decay of the myelin sheath, causing potassium to block the synaptic gap. Consuming potassium-rich foods like potatoes and mangoes can help keep your mind sharp!**
When it comes to getting more from your workers, investing in a mental healthcare program isn't often the first thing that comes to mind for many employers. However, the emotional wellbeing of every employee is essential to a productive workplace! I am always working to help my clients with any issues that are currently affecting their performance to ensure a healthy and efficient workplace for all. Though I am currently employed at Deinceps Corporation, I am always available to contact for purposes such as interviews or other matters.
I am a fully licensed EAP counselor with a PhD in Counseling Psychology trained to help employees with common life stressors. I ensure all of my clients leave my office with satisfaction and peace of mind to continue on with their day. For bigger issues I may not be equipped to deal with, I can always redirect my clients to community resources and local therapists so they can get the support that they need. My sessions at Deinceps have been linked to increased success and productivity rates within the workplace!
I would describe myself as a very empathetic person. The wellbeing of my clients are at my utmost priority, and I can always get a good read on how people are feeling just by the look on their face. The eyes are the window to the soul, after all. Being understanding is a necessity when it comes to your emotional health, so I would say that patience and integrity are very important to me. Creativity is not my strong suit, but I'd like to believe I make up for it with my logic and reasoning. My memory is quite sharp, and I'd like to think I'm great at math and basic trivia. Not to brag, though!
i am therefore i think
In my spare time, I am an avid reader of nonfiction books: science books are a particular favorite of mine. You can learn five words a day just by reading a book for 30 minutes! I love to take nature walks and beach strolls, and when it gets rainy outside, a nice coffee brew and some still life painting by the windowsill are my first go-to.
